The weather conditions of a particular region have a great effect on the food habits and rituals of the people residing there. In the earlier time when the people started shifting to new places in search of new pastures and resources, they also changed their food habits in order to help them survive in the new weather.

In the tropical regions due to the general hot weather prevalent throughout the year, people cannot have much of fatty foods, as it will have an adverse effect on their health. Also the drinking here is mostly during socialization. In these regions, generally fatty foods are taken during monsoons and winters that are generally mild.
