:: About the Chef ::

My qualifications do not reflect the profile of a Qualified Chef as I am Masters in Science (Zoology), PG Diploma in Business Management, Honors Diploma in Networking from NIIT. Eight years of my working life had been spent as a satisfied teacher in Fr. Agnel School and Jr. College at Vashi, New Bombay, India. Yet I am an adept cook :-) . Well.. I owe my culinary inclinations to my mother who is a great cook.

My penchant for cooking started taking shape of a culinary expert by experimenting in my home kitchen.
My creative self revels in coming up with some new recipe out of the regular, simple, readily available foodstuff. Quite many a times while toying with some foody idea or through trial and error I end up discovering a brand new, scrumptious recipe. Almost every day I create a new recipe during the routine course of making meals.

My strength - an uncanny sense of proportion, which is very important in any cooking. Cooking helps me to unwind my self. Innovative cooking stirs the exotic in my soul. Extensive reading on cooking constantly keeps me updated on the subject and feed my imagination also. But I am not just another self proclaimed cook.

Presently besides looking after the Design and Development Division of a software development and portal management company CHIC Infotech Pvt. Ltd. as its full time Director, I do provide the content for www.indichef.com, www.indiherbs.com and www.indiadoption.com. I also look after the e-commerce activities of www.indinetwork.com.

www.indichef.com is created mainly for NRIs. The site serves as comprehensive storehouse of assorted recipes from diverse Indian regions as well as other countries. The site got recognition by BBC World on 20th April 2001 in "IT India Tomorrow" where it was rated among the top three Indian sites. BBC.co.uk in their food section under web guide of India has described www.indichef.com as follows: -

"An appealing mixture of recipes from the site's experts and its users, plus a glossary of terms and introduction to the subtleties of Indian food. It also has ideas of ingredient substitutes for those watching their weight."

Moreover, I am associated as an advisor / Consultant for many corporate (most of them related to food industry). I am also providing content to many well known portals in India.

So here I am - a kitchen fresh cook with corporate flavor on web!
